What is Eating Well

This section looks at Eating Well in terms of get the right balance of foods to ensure your body gets the nutrients it needs. We look at the generally agreed principles of what that balance is. We introduce "The Balanced Plate" that helps you apply the principles of balanced eating to each meal. We go through the different food groups, with an explanation of each, and we go through Meal Types and ways of eating.

Eating Well is a marriage between the nutrients we get and the pleasure and ease with which we can eat. Most countries agree that eating well is about balancing food groups in roughly similar proportions. Within each food group, diversity is key to getting all the nutrients we need.
